The idea behind the www.11listopada1918.pl portal was born in connection with the 90th anniversary of the regaining independence by Poland. The work on it started on July 2008 and the portal was inaugurated on November 5, 2008 at a special conference organised in connection with a press conference at the PAP seat.

The patronage over the portal was taken by the national education ministry. The portal was prepared by the PAP Media editorial team and the PAP Inforgraphics Desk in cooperation with the Army Central Archives, Radio Free Europe Archives and the National Library in Warsaw.

LOT Polish national carrier is the partner of the portal. KM
